The meetings this year will take place: on 26 September, 24 October , 19 November and 19 December here at St Mary’s from 6.30pm – 8.30pm. A meal will follow these evenings of prayer and reflection

THE SOURCE
We welcome the return of The Source  Youth Event, for young people  from Year 9 and above, which will take place on   Wednesday 3 October 6.45pm - 8.30pm.  The evening is always one of live music, praise and      worship , prayer and faith  sharing  followed by refreshments.  The special guest  performer  will be UK based Gospel singer and X Factor contestant Annastasia Baker.

POPE FRANCIS LETTER TO THE PEOPLE OF GOD - HOLY HOUR OF PRAYER 

A Holy Hour of prayer and reflection will take place in the Cathedral on    Saturday  6  October at 11.00am.

MASS for CATHEDRAL DEANS 'CONFERENCE

The National  Cathedral Deans' Conference is convening in Newcastle in October. A special Mass, celebrated by Bishop Seamus, will take place here in the Cathedral on Wednesday 10 October at 12.05pm. Despite the ongoing works , the Cathedral will open for this one off event.

CANONISATION OF ARCHBISHOP OSCAR ROMERO
Bishop Seamus will celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving, here in the Cathedral for the Canonisation of Archbishop Oscar Romero on Saturday 13 October at 11.00am.  Please note there will be no 10.00am Mass on that day

GENERATIONS’ CONCERT
A concert of ‘Generations’, featuring the Felling Male Voice Choir, Swing Bridge singers and young people from two local schools will take place in the Cathedral on Saturday 13 October at 7.00pm. Further details will follow.

DIOCESAN ALTAR SERVERS' MASS
The annual Mass for the altar servers of the diocese will take place in the Cathedral on Saturday 3 November at 11.00am.

‘CHILLI NIGHT’ AT THE CATHEDRAL
Come and enjoy an evening of Chilli and music in the Cloister Café on Saturday 24 November at 7.30pm (doors open at 7.15pm) . Tickets priced at £10 will be on sale in the coming weeks. Watch this space!
