NEWS AND EVENTS:
PARTNERSHIP MASS TIMES
Although the Cathedral times are unchanged, some of the times of Masses across the Partnership have changed. There are information sheets at the back of the church with a list of the revised times.
BEING THE PRODIGAL CHILD
A Evening of Reflection for Lent will take place in St Robert’s Church, Cedar Road, Fenham, Newcastle on Thursday 7 March at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start. The reflections are themed around Jesus’ parable of the Prodigal Son, experienced by women serving custodial sentences in Low Newton Prison. The event is led by Open Gate, a charity that works with women during their sentence and after their release. For further information and to book a place please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
CALL TO HOLINESS
Pope Francis, in his recent writing on the call to holiness, encourages us to ‘recognise those ordinary times in our lives and the lives of others which are holy.’ To explore this a little further, the Blackfriars Spirituality Group would like to invite you to a Day of Reflection, to spend time as a partnership together in prayer as part of the journey through Lent. The event will take place on Saturday 16 March from 10.30am - 3.30pm at St Cuthbert’s Primary School, Balmain Road and you are advised to take a packed lunch (tea and coffee available from 10.00am). To book a place please email: email@example.com
ANNUAL DAY OF REFLECTION
An Annual Day of Reflection for Eucharistic Ministers and Readers will take place on Saturday 11 May from 11.00am - 3.30pm in St Cuthbert’s Primary School Hall, Balmain Road, Kenton. The day will be led by Fr Eamonn Mulcahy CSSP and will follow the theme of ‘Responding to the Call of Pope Francis’ which will focus on ‘Missionary Disciples, in a missionary parish for a missionary church’. For further information, telephone: 0191 2841690. A collection will be taken on the day and people are advised to take along a packed lunch.
